I'd like to share you guys a how-to. Should take you like 5 or 10 minutes. Give it a try. This isn't somebody's work but mine. Requirements are [1] a used metal can (which was opened up without any sharp pieces coming out) [2] a thick wiring tape (about 2 centimeters wide) First, look for a can in your kitchen & wash it nicely. The rest is all about sticking tape pieces onto the can in any designs you want. Check the pictures for some ideas. Here are some tips: Use black tape and shiny tin cans because that combination looks the best. Don't use it above normal room temperature or adhesive will melt. A regular, thin black wiring tape doesn't look as good as a think one. Tape the bottom too so that you don't make loud sounds when you drop a pencil inside. Benefits are you will probably save 2$ to 10$ or even more for a pencil holder on the market (I'm assuming you have wiring tape already). It's fun and you can show your kids or lil' brothers or sisters who might be interested. Plus, it's made by yourself. You will be pleased watching your own product on your desk. No? Well, at least, I'm pleased =D. been using it for months now. Check the pics out...You see the wavy can doesn't look as good as the plain one. The plain one was originally a condensed milk can and the wavy one was a tomato can.
