Make Spaghetti Alio e Olio
 
A recipe for how to make spaghetti aglio e olio (spaghetti with garlic and oil), including ingredients and cooking instructions.

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, or spaghetti with oil and garlic, is a tasty, authentic and easy to prepare dish that takes no time at all. Nearly everyone has the necessary ingredients, cooking time is about 15 minutes and just about everyone will enjoy it.

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Package of dry spaghetti
  • 1 cup chopped fresh Parsley
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put a large pot of water to boil, add a pinch of salt and cover.
  2. In a small skillet, add 6 cloves of finely chopped garlic and a teaspoon of salt to three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Simmer over a low to medium flame, stirring occasionally.
  3. Chop some parsley and set aside;
  4. When the water is boiling furiously, gently add the spaghetti, stirring until it's entirely covered and boiling.
  5. Boil for 9 minutes, then drain the pasta.
  6. in a large bowl, toss the garlic/oil sauce, the pasta, the parsley, and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately with warm bread, some red wine, and good music.
